WHY HEMP?
One night in deep talks about the housing crisis and our worries about how our young adult daughters will be able to afford their own home one day, Matthew blurts out, “Stephanie, what if we could find a way to build houses people could actually afford?” “And is there a way to build these homes to be as environmentally friendly as possible?” The brainstorming began, which lead to the birth of Munford Hemp Farm. Due to hemp having a low carbon footprint in construction, farming the fiber from hemp plants will give us the capability to create sustainable building materials, such as eco-friendly wood, concrete, insulation, and plaster.
